How I build.

Behavior first. Signal over noise. Products should explain themselves.

Start with behavior

Form follows what the product needs to do, not what the interface wants to show off.

Reduce with edge

Cut until the core signal is obvious, but keep enough character that the product still feels alive.

Make the system legible

Structure, states, and labels should teach the product on contact, without needing extra explanation.

Use motion as state

Animation should carry timing, focus, and feedback, not compete with the thing it is trying to support.
